How many of the partially obliterated words at the right can you complete? You'll probably find that you complete about a third rather quickly and easily, another third with more effort and time, but the remainder may leave you uncertain and scratching your head. Words tend to get harder as you go down.
Hopefully this demonstration will illustrate that the words you find are not arbitrary or a matter of seeing "faces in the clouds." Humans are extremely good at filling in the blanks using their extensive background knowledge of a language, such as the shape of letters, proper letter combinations and rules of spelling, letter spacing and word letter counts, words in the language and the correct spellings of the words. Other contextual clues, as in the hints below, also help enormously.
